Climbing the majestic Mount Cooroora, made famous by the King of the Mountain festival, is a highlight, as are the many walking trails which are accessible directly from the retreat. There are also multiple tour operators who take pride in showing off the best of Noosa, from kayaking to abseiling - ask us for recommendations! Many will collect you from your accommodation.
In the town of Pomona, you will find numerous cafes, restaurants, a distillery, newsagents, parks, the Majestic Theatre, Noosa Museum, weekly markets and shopping opportunities.
If you prefer to choose your own adventure, within an easy 20 minute radius of Noosa Eco Retreat you are spoiled for options for dining, swimming and exploration. You could be digging your toes into the white sand of Noosa's world famous beaches, strolling down Hastings Street, wandering the iconic Noosa National Park, discovering treasures at the Eumundi Markets, paddling at Boreen Point or exploring the other gorgeous hinterland towns.

beaches & national parks
From the iconic main beach to the breathtaking boardwalk through the Noosa National Park, visitors can explore it all, just a scenic 25 minute drive from the retreat.
The Everglades are also an absolute must - you cannot fail to be amazed by the river of mirrors. One of only two Everglades in the world, exploring this piece of paradise is sure to be a highlight!
mountain biking
Noosa is a mountain bikers delight. Noosa Eco Retreat welcomes groups and individual riders to enjoy the many world class trails across the hinterland.
If you don't have your own bike with you, we can recommend some fabulous local tour operators - you could try out a FAT bike with Noosa Hinterland Adventure Tours or an e-mtn (electric mountain bike!) with By Earth and Ocean.
artisan markets
Pomona Country Markets are held every Saturday morning 6.30am - 12.30pm. A short stroll from the retreat and offering over 65 stalls, with wheelchair-friendly paths and free parking.
Alternatively, take a short ten minute drive to the world famous Eumundi Markets, renowned for locally made artisan treasures.
noosa trail network
The Noosa Trails are an extensive network of tracks and paths across the Noosa region.
Trail number 5 runs through the Tuchekoi National Park, and you can directly access this from the retreat.
Paths are well maintained and offer varying degrees of difficulty. They are well sign-posted, and a copy of a map will keep you informed about facilities.
climb mountains
The retreat sits at the base of Mount Cooroora, made famous for its annual King of the Mountain festival. Whether you want to take on this challenge, or you prefer a more relaxed pace, it always makes for a beautiful climb and spectacular views from the top.
