Christmas spirit

Eco-Friday blog post

You know the best way to introduce some Christmas spirit into your life? Have a stunning new distillery open just down the road from you...that will definitely do it!

Pomona Distilling Co has opened its doors for locals and visitors alike this week, and it’s so lovely to hear how excited everyone is about it...it’s the talk of the town so to speak. We love the way they have decked out the venue in reclaimed, local materials, it looks incredible. Plus I am a sucker for party lights and they have plenty of these creating an outdoor zone ambience that is screaming out for perfect evenings with friends under the stars. We have locked in a day next week to head on in and experience it for ourselves, but do yourselves a favour and put it on your list of places to visit too! We just know that our future guests will be delighted with having such a funky venue a short stroll away.

It’s not the only thing bringing some festive season joy into our lives. Last night we had the annual Night of Lights celebration, which is always a lovely community event. Pleased that most of the local carols by candlelight have banned fireworks this year after all the devastating bushfires. The light display in our town was a much more eco-friendly way of celebrating, and arguably more beautiful too!

This is such a great time of year, with loads of events and activities available to level up your festive period. The Noosa shire puts on free buses throughout the school holidays, easing congestion and saving environmental pollution at the same time. The weather is warm, the beaches, lakes, pools and rivers are all ready for summer memories to be made. Noosa is literally what summer holiday dreams are made of...we just need to steal some time to enjoy it!

It’s hard to believe that it’s this time of year already. I know that people say it all the time, but the years really do fly by faster with every one that passes. We are really excited about the year ahead of us and anxious to get to the stage where we can throw open our own figurative doors. We could dwell on the disappointment of not quite making our goal of being open for Christmas, but that’s not in our nature. Instead, we will focus on the finishing stages of our development and enjoy the anticipation of the opening in early 2020...will be a great way to start the new year!
